Our goal is to correct the spine to as near normal as possible so that our patients experience not only pain relief, but also an increase in their optimum health potential. We strive to help each patient achieve a better quality of life. We use several methods to accomplish phenomenal results.

Initial Consultation ExamInitial Consultation and Exam
Learning your health history, symptoms and complaints helps us get to know you and your condition. The first thing you will do when you visit our office is fill out our new patient questionnaire.

Then you will meet with one of the doctor’s for initial tests and possibly X-Rays which will help us see the condition of the spine and pinpoint problem areas.

Report of Findings
Your second visit will be for a Report of Findings. We encourage you to bring your spouse, friend or other family members so they too can hear about your treatment options. During this visit we discuss your X-Rays and explain what is happening in your body. We answer your questions and give you enough information to select the appropriate treatment program for you.

Patient Care Philosophy
We promise to treat you with respect and care. We will provide you with information and take the time to answer your questions. We always appreciate the referrals our patients provide, as that is how our practice continues to grow.

Our patients become like family to us. In fact, many of our patients express that they miss visiting the office when their treatment period has ended.

X-Ray
We don’t like to guess about your spine or the cause of your condition. We will often take X-Rays to further detect the underlying cause and magnitude of your spinal problems. X-Rays allow us to pinpoint trouble areas. X-Rays may also be used to measure our progress and to determine the end point of your corrective care program. For your convenience we have our own X-Ray machine in our office.

Computerized Spinal Examination:
MyoVision – Surface Electromyography (SEMG)
MyoVision is another tool we use to detect underlying spinal problems and monitor treatment progress. We use a tool connected to a computer to evaluate your spine. Electrical activity in your muscles help detect where your spine is misaligned and if there is nerve interference. The test is completely painless and the results are instantaneous.

Spinal Correction – Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP)
aka Clinical Biomechanics of Posture
Chiropractic Biophysics® (CBP) is a method by which we use mirror image exercises and traction to correct posture and restore the normal spinal curves. Our patients have experienced reduced pain and enhanced quality of life using this treatment option. We monitor the effectiveness of this treatment by changes in symptoms and X-Ray results. Our patients appreciate the definitive results we obtain with this method.

Here is a sample of some of the results we have achieved as shown by before and after X-Rays. Please read the Testimonials to see how this has affected the lives of our patient’s.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression
Summit Chiropractic offers Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression therapy for chronic back and neck pain sufferers.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression has a high pain relief success rate for patients suffering from chronic neck or low back pain, bulging or herniated discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, and spinal stenosis. Spinal Decompression relieves pain by creating a vacuum type suction which reverses the high pressure inside the disc and draws the bulging or herniated material back into the disc. This procedure is painless and has no side effects. We attend frequent SpinalAid trainings in order to stay current with all of the advances in spinal decompression therapy.

MedX Core Strengthening Machine
Strengthening your low back muscles is an important component of the non-surgical spinal decompression program. We utilize a state-of-the-art machine by MedX®. Lumbar strengthening improves both spinal range-of-motion and spinal stability. Lumbar strengthening helps you avoid surgery.Lumbar spine muscle strengthening with the MedX® machine is a vital component of your non-surgical spinal decompression program. We find that many patients make even greater improvements in pain reduction and quality of life when lumbar strengthening and non-surgical spinal decompression programs are combined.

The MedX® lumbar exercise machine has a unique isolation system to focus the exercise on only the muscles of the lumbar spine. With most gym exercise machines and home exercises, the body is able to recruit the muscles of the hips, pelvis and legs to compensate for weak low back muscles. The MedX® isolation system restricts the recruitment of other muscle groups and isolates the muscles in the low back for more effective targeted muscle strengthening. MedX® equipment is found only in a clinical and/or rehabilitation setting. In some cases, we will recommend home exercises and stretching to help your recovery, but home exercises are never a substitute for lumbar strengthening in our office.

Cold Laser
Cold laser therapy is used to effectively treat back and neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, shoulder injuries and a host of other health problems. Beams of light are applied to the affected area. Low-level laser light initiates increased cellular ATP (energy) production, microcirulation, and enhanced tissue regeneration. The overall effects are decreased pain and inflammation, and increased range of motion.
